I have wanted to do Shawarma for a very long time. I finally had the opportunity and immediately did some research. Naturally I did not have the use of the traditional vertical grill that the street vendors use, but I did have a rotisserie. Loading up that spit rod with loads of marinated meat was just super fun, and messy. After rotissing the chicken (our protein of choice) and grilling up fresh pita to go with it, the meal turned into something purely amazing.
I hope that you get to enjoy this as much as we did here at Napoleon. You can definitely make this for a smaller group and then freeze what is left for a quick and easy meal later on.
