A friend of mine introduced me to the concept of curry. In his household, he is the master of curry, making it at least twice a week. So when I was doing a barbecue luncheon for him, I thought I should try to incorporate his favorite flavors into something for the grill. These Spicy Curry Burgers ended up being great, beefy burgers with some spicy heat and a real hit of that curry flavor.
Today, September the 18th, is National Cheeseburger Day! How do you plan on celebrating?
I made some supremely cheesy beef burgers to celebrate, and I really recommend that you whip some of these up for tonight's dinner too! Last year we had the pleasure of Sultana's Bacon Cheeseburgers, but this year, we have something even better! What could be better you ask? These Super Cheesy Swiss Stuffed Cheeseburgers With Cheddar And Jalapeño Havarti. I know that the recipe time says that it takes 105 minutes to make, but it's all in the prep, and then there's 30 minutes of chilling time too. But I can assure you that these burgers are worth it.
What if you could marry the amazing combination of maple and bacon into a portable meal that satisfies all of your cravings? These Maple Bacon Beer Burgers have a little bit of all the best things, they come together to make a tasty burger. Place it on a rosemary focaccia with lettuce and onions. YUM! You won't believe your tastebuds.
Here's my first recipe on the new site. I am super excited about posting the recipe for Chicken Shawarma On The Rotisserie.
I have wanted to do Shawarma for a very long time. I finally had the opportunity and immediately did some research. Naturally I did not have the use of the traditional vertical grill that the street vendors use, but I did have a rotisserie. Loading up that spit rod with loads of marinated meat was just super fun, and messy. After rotissing the chicken (our protein of choice) and grilling up fresh pita to go with it, the meal turned into something purely amazing.
Okay this was absolutely delicious. I have an obsession with sourdough bread. Like OB-SEH-SHUN! I actually had to cut the recipe down a little. There were only two of us eating that night, so I sliced the bread and toasted it, then melted the cheese onto it. Followed by the leftover turkey that has been grilled to reheat. The Fire-Roasted Tomato Salsa was gloriously garlic-y. Like it was intense, even after brushing our teeth.
How did you handle your leftovers from Thanksgiving? Leave a comment and let us know what you did with what was left after your big meal. Was it different, like this? Or was it just microwaved with the fixings?
